Scabiosa atropurpurea Black Knight Normal
Scabiosa atropurpurea Black Knight Normal
A beautiful colourway for scabiosa. A larger head than the perennial types and is a very deep wine colour verging on black in certain light! Such a gorgeous bloom to have pop out of an arrangement.
How to grow:
Start seeds indoors from Jan to April or Sept and Oct. Sow into seeding compost at a temp of 15-18 degrees. Germination can take up to 3 weeks. Pot on once a good size. Harden off before planting out once danger of frost has passed..
Deadhead to encourage more flowers. I found it is prone to self seeding and the plants can get quite wild so will benefit from coralling.
Seed amount: 50 seeds per packet.
