Setaria Italica Red Jewel

Foxtail millet, an edible foodcrop that's often grown for bird seeds. It is easy to grow, excellent for cut flower arrangements, as a filler in bouquets. It dries really well .

Germination Instructions: Sow in a greenhouse/indoors in spring. Surface sow onto moist, well-drained seed compost, cover with a sprinkling of soil. Germination takes 1 week at a temp of 15 degrees. Transplant seedlings in small clumps to individual trays or pots and grow on. Harden off and plant out after danger of frost has passed.
