Briza maxima half-rubbed seeds - Greater Quaking Grass

Beautiful grass that is great in the garden, in cut flower arrangements and also as a dried flower, so many uses!

When to sow : April/May direct , Aug/Sept for overwintering

Germination Instructions : Sow directly in spring where they are to flower. Sow 6mm deep in rows 30cm apart in soil which has been well cultivated and raked to a fine tilth. Germination can be slow and erratic. Once germinated and seedlings are large enough to handle thin to 25cm spacing.

If sowing in Autumn do keep up high away from mice who seem to be partial to the taste!

Growing Instructions : Prefers a sunny positions with a well-drained soil. Will tolerate most soil types.
